What's your morning beverage of choice? Coffee, tea, juice? Homemade or store-bought?
Chocolate milk!
Well, a vitamin-filled, supposedly chocolate-like drink that includes milk. I lack in every possible vitamin, so I've gotta drink it (almost) every morning. It doesn't taste that bad, but there are definitely other things I would prefer to ingest. Like dirt.
What magazines do you subscribe to, and why?
I don't actually subscribe to any magazines, but there are two that I buy on a regular basis: Vogue and O (the Oprah Magazine).
I buy Vogue for the obvious: I am a fan of fashion, and also the seemingly flawless women who wear the clothes. Every once in a while there is an article or two that makes an especially good read (yes, I read the articles!); for example, the August 2006 issue was very "pro-aging". I liked reading the articles about people embracing their own style (and their wrinkles, for the most part) without worrying if they looked "too old" or "too young" or too whatever.
I buy O because, well, Oprah is awesome. Full of female empowerment and all that good stuff.
First of all: Thank you, Stephanie, for the Vox invitation.
I have a paid Livejournal account that I more or less use regularly, along with a few other (inactive) journals on other blogging sites, but I have something different in store for this Vox account. Of course, that could always change and I'm not adamant on sticking to my original plan.
Today I went into The Fresh Market with a small hope of getting hired. I had already filled out an application some days before, and the manager showed at least some interest in me, but I still had my doubts for various reasons (most notably never having a real job in my umpteen years of life on this planet). Surprisingly, I got the job within a few moments! I spent the next half hour or so filling out paperwork, signing off for a drug test (that I should be taking tomorrow, I think), and getting my uniform. I start work tomorrow at 9am. Geeze, 9am. I can't remember ever having to wake up so early.
Actually, I should probably get my butt out of this computer chair pretty soon; I have things that I need to get done before I go to bed.
